After the elephant ride, the tour continued on a river rafting excursion. I forgot to inquire just exactly what river I was on, but I think it was the Ping River. After the river rafting, the tour members were picked up by carts pulled by oxen, or some sort of water buffalo. I failed in my duties to find out all the details, too busy having a good time. Anyway, after this we were given a fine lunch and then went to see an orchid and butterfly conservatory, which was very green and lush.

Elephants on the riverbank.
The people wading in the water sold trinkets and drinks. I bought a Heineken from them and sipped it on the raft. Aaah.

The raft "captain" provided us with these straw sun hats, which certainly did the trick.

This was the orchid tour.

The orchid place had many paths and few people. It was a nice place to relax.
